CZ-USA CZ 527 American Bolt 7.62x39mm - Blue/Black, 21.8" Barrel, 5+1 Rounds, Wood, Turkish Walnut Stock

Don’t waste your money. I was sorely disappointed with this rifle, and CZ customer service is a joke. Here are the things that were wrong:
1. The crown was damaged. With out a magnifying glass you could s huge burr that had been rolled up on one of the lands. It wasn’t done in transit because it was at the end of the land which is protected by the radius of the crown. The target they sent could not have been shot with that rifle.
2. The stock was over inleted and the the action was sloppy in the wood. The aluminum pillars for the pillar bedding were the wrong size and no matter how much you tightened the action screws, the action was still loose in the stock.
3. The chamber was extremely sloppy, with poor fit and finish. A chamber cast revealed that the chamber was 0.005 over sized in the case head area above the maximum specs, and the headspace is barely in spec by a half a thousandth.
This rifle should have never left the factory, and as mentioned earlier CZ customer service is useless. CZ will never get another dime of my money. It sits in the safe for now. I will eventually either pay to have it rebarreled and glass bedded, or use it as fence post. I refuse to pass these problems on to another firearms enthusiast.

This is an excellent small rifle. I was surprised with the accuracy this rifle produced with low cost FMJ rounds. The group shooting next to me wanted to know what that tackdriver I was shooting is and couldn't believe it was 7.62x39. I put it through a variety of accuracy trials using different rounds and after dialing in the specific load it shot moa groups at 100 yards off just sand bags for me. Just for fun I plan to use this rifle deer hunting this fall since I seldom have a shot beyond 200 yards, which I feel this round can easily handle. Great companion rifle to go with your SKS or AK47.

I've always loved CZ products and own three rifles in various calibers. After having taken delivery of a competitors bolt action 'Ranch' of the same caliber, I wish I would have opted to have saved my money altogether an not purchased, or purchased the CZ product with the threaded barrel and composite stock. You cannot beat the build quality, accuracy out of the box, or the fantastic two-stage trigger. If you are wavering between this or that based on the small spread in cost, buy the CZ - it is worth the difference and then some.

I love this rifle!! I waited months for this rifle to become available. I even debated on getting the carbine length due to its easy availability..I'm glad I waited for the American. I'm so happy with my purchase. the finish is just what you'd expect from CZ. I own a few CZ products and they never disappoint.
