POF 11H Hunter/Sniper Rail 308 Win 16.5" Heavy Barrel

The 11H upper receiver is an 11" MRR (Modular Railed Receiver), a two-piece upper receiver with a free-floating monolithic rail and handguard precisely interfacing with the reinforced backbone receiver taking stress away from the bolt area and eliminating flex at points of stress, strengthening the entire upper. They are black anodized and compatible ONLY with POF-USA 308 lower receivers. In 16.5" and 20" barrel lengths, each has a 1.5" muzzle brake. Barrels are made of 4150 chrome-moly-vanadium alloy and are Nitride heat-treated for corrosion-resistance. These fluted, polygonal barrels have heavy contour and hand-lapped button twisted rifling. The semi-automatic receiver houses a regulated gas piston system, is chambered in 7.62x51 mm NATO (.308 Win) and weighs in at just over 6 lbs. It has an oversized heat sink barrel nut. The 11H model has a hunter/sniper rail (HSR) designed for mid-length rifles using minimal accessories. Made of 7075-T6 aluminum alloy, the HSR has a free-floating handguard and front and rear rails for standard equipment such as iron sights, bi-pods and slings. Fewer rails around the barrel section allow for a smoother/tighter grip and space for larger objective scopes. Combined, the length of this upper receiver with barrel is 25" or 28.5."
