exellent weapon, accurate and reliable. It's well designed ergonomicly but you do need to have a good size hand to reach all the controls.

My first purchase from Buds and I had a great experience. This review and rating in no way reflects my Buds experience. I just wish I had done a bit more research into the gun before purchasing. the gun, however is more of a mixed bag. The FNP45 itself screams quality, and lives up the FNH's reputation for exemplary quality. It's soft shooting. Here are the caveats that ultimately led me to trade the gun in: 1. dismal support from FNH, mainly in the area of magazines. good luck trying to find extra mags for this, even restricted 10rd mags are hard to find, and cost an arm and a leg. For me, a defensive pistol, that is unacceptable, as I must have at least 5-7 mags. 2. the magazines themselves are mil-spec, maybe too milspec, because they will not feed certain ammo that is just barely out of SAAMI specs. For example WWB round ball factory ammo does not feed correctly because it's a bit out of spec (a little longer than SAAMI spec). A combat pistol should not be picky with ammo. So I traded it in. The upside is that you will probably recoup at least 85% of your costs because, around my area at least in St. Louis, MO, these sell very quickly in gunshops. I sold mine for $625 the day after I put it in the gunshop consignment area.

A wonderful gun, recoil not as bad as one would think being a .45. My fiancee does not like to shoot .40, but is spot on with this and loves shooting this .45. Have recommended this .45 pistol to others looking for one. Transaction with Buds was flawless, shipping was quick.

Great quality firearm. Took it out and ran three mags through without a hitch. Easy recoil with a great sight picture. I would recommend this gun to anyone.

First purchase from Bud's, and my first 45. Happy as heck on both accounts! Because this model is being replaced by the FNX, it was hard to find, but Bud's had it at the best price, and the service was JUST FINE. So far, I've put nearly 500 rounds through it, with only a few oddities that I can very clearly attribute to the cartridges (85% was the cheap russian stuff, but this gun eats it all, regardless). For a full-sized, maxxed-out magazine, it handles, aims and shoots great (excellent accuracy), and the recoil factor is barely more than my 9. Even my wife was impressed with the handling when she shot it, though she prefers a smaller framed pistol for herself.

Exactly what I was looking for in a 45. Fit and finish is second to none. Accuracy is very good. Being left-handed, the ambi functions are most welcome! My only problem is loading the mags. The 12-15th rounds are HARD to put in. I called FN, and they don't offer a loader. Will need to find an aftermarket one.

First of all , this was my first experience in terms of buying a firearm online and buds was definitely the right choice ... friendly sevice and fast delivery of a superb handgun! I paid via the E-check option " to save a little $$ " and I received my gun 12 days from the day I ordered it...not bad considering they told me it may take a full 3 weeks when using the E-ck pymt option As for the FN FNP-45 USG...all I can say is WOW!!! everything I expected and more! An utterly flawless pistol in both design and functionality and not to mention very very easy on the eyes! 5 stars for the FN and 5 stars for BUDS.... Love it with all my heart and would highly recommend it to anyone...thanks BUDS

RESPONSE BY BUDS: ACCEPTING THE TRANSFER OF ANY FIREARM YOU ARE NOT 100% SATISFIED WITH IS TOTALLY UNNECESSARY. WE ADMITTEDLY DO NOT OPEN THE BOXES AND INSPECT THE GUNS. THE ONLY REQUEST WE HAVE OF OUR CUSTOMERS IS TO INSPECT THEIR GUN AND ONLY ACCEPT TRANSFER IF THEY ARE 100% SATISFIED. NEW GUNS ARE TEST FIRED AT THE FACTORY AND MANY ARE NOT CLEANED AFTERWARDS. RESIDUE AND WEAR ON MOVING PARTS IS NORMAL, HOWEVER COSMETIC MARKS ARE NOT NORMAL AND SHOULD BE DECLINED. Firearm was sold as new, however when recieved it was extremely dirty visual wear and tear on slide and barrel and recoil assembly Also had a deep scratch on the slide. Not happy with purchase. Accepted transfer because didnt want to wait for exchange so I cleaned, polished ordered replacement parts. My mossberg 930 spx was received in similiar condition and still ordered another one thinking it was a one time thing. Guess not.

The FNP45 USG 45 ACP is a great gun and a fantastic value for the money, very accurate and super tight group. Buds service is second to none, I have not been a customer here long but will be one for a long time. Now as far as FN the company goes, there service is extremely SLOW and if you do have a problem prepare to wait for at least a month and if you do call to check on one prepare yourself for rude service. I currently have a FNS9 brand new defective in their shop and has been there nearly a month and nothing has been done with it yet, although they tell me it has been assigned to a gun smith. The FN products are great and Buds service is great.

First purchase from buds and it will not be my last. I'm extremely satisfied with my FNP-45 as well. I have average size hands and this pistol feels great in them, even though it is rather large. The SA trigger is very nice and because of all the weight in the slide, the recoil isn't that bad either. I did have some FTF and FTE issues but that was with ammo that is suspect, run any decent ammo and you will not have a problem. One noticeable feature (arguably good or bad) is the recoil spring, it is very stiff.
