• Q: I have a s&w m&p 15 22lr and i heard that this rifle is very finicky about what kind of ammo you run thru it ? just wondering if this will run ok?

  I've had issues with thunder bolts in several firearms. With that said though they may work great in yours. Unfortunately since every firearms different it's a buy and find out situation. Cause I could have a M&P 15-22 and thunder bolts could run flawlessly and could jam every other round in yours. So my best advice would be to buy a box and if they work great then stock up. If not you know better next time. Hope this helps.

  I've honestly never used this ammo but the muzzle velocity is right in that sweet spot.
  Muzxle Velocity: 1,255 FPS, I have heard this ammo runs pretty dirty, so you may have to clean a little more often then other Brands, but it should run with no issues if you do your part cleaning and lubbing your rifle

  any 22lr ammo will work 22WMR is longer and fatter and will not work in the 15-22

  It should Robin. 22 1911's can be picky so I suggest heading to your local Walmart and picking up a 50rd box of a few brands and once you find what your pistol shoots well, stocking up on what works in "Your" pistol.

  The thunderbolts work ok (dirty) in my 1022 and Ruger MKII so it should be fine but as you know especially with 22 pistols they can be ammo picky. the rifles seem to be more forgiving and work fine with more types of 22lr ammo
