This is a snappy little pistol but with a little practice and some Pierce grip extensions, its very controllable. Bar dot sight feels familiar and is not a big transition. The included laser was a great deal but makes finding holsters a pain. I paired it first with a small frame universal holster before making a hybrid holster. Follow Kahr's break in suggestions or leave the slide open for about a day then work the slide about 100 times and it has fed everything flawlessly: Winchester whitebox, sellier and belllot , Hornady duty HP. Small enough to carry in gym shorts with a good holster or a perfect backup. Good: Price, laser extra, Kahr's trigger.small concealable package. Not so: only one mag, Pierce grips are needed or extended mag ( added both) as well as a gel slip on grip.

I haven't carried a side arm since the military, so the only comparison I can make is to a Colt 1911. That being said, the kick this little jewel has, blew my mind! It's a small pistol, one of the reasons I bought it is that it is easily concealed. Due to it's size, it kicks more than a standard issue 1911. The first shot was a wake up call. This is no play thing! Again, due to it's size, I held it in a golf grip and managed to darn near tear my prominent thumb out with the slide! It was a grip I unconsciously used again on two more shots out of the next 100 I fired. Soon enough, I began to feel safe with a normal grip. It helped to have the 6 round clip for pinky finger support. I do have very big hands though. In a smaller hand, it would feel more secure I think. Accuracy was not great for the gun or the laser, right out of the box, but that can be adjusted and doesn't worry me. Kahr made this a very precise machine. I practiced for hours till the trigger system felt right, took it apart a dozen times and re-oiled the oil. It is truly a beautifully designed firearm not much larger than a new bar of soap! There were no "burps", no failures of any kind. This is a perfect pocket pistol with excellent stopping power. If you want something for the range, this isn't it, especially in this caliber. The 9mm would be cheaper to shoot and more controllable to boot! I am very happy with this purchase. The 4043 fits my needs completely! It is a surprisingly powerful pocket gun and manufacturing is of the highest quality. If you have ham hocks like mine, the 6 or 7 round mags give you much more control. I wear pleated khaki trousers and a simple pocket holster hides the piece entirely! Bud's has been great to do business with and has the best pricing by far!
