Regardless of price, these are the best bases available for the the Ruger American Centerfire rifles. Fortunately, they are also extremely reasonably priced! Constructed of 7075 T6 aluminum which is significantly stronger and tougher than the more common and much less expensive "aircraft grade" 6061 T6 aluminium, these bases are much stronger than even tier one scope tubes. Machining is impeccable with true Mil-Spec Picatinny dimensions. The hard anodize finish is excellent for protection and looks nice as well. My base adds 20 MOA of available come-up adjustment to my rifle system. The fit to the receiver was precise and as solid as machining gets. These bases are plenty long enough, with enough available mounting slot positions, to achieve proper eye relief for any standard lenght eye relief rifle scope. The only thing one could wish they would add to these mounts, is that they offered them for every make and model of rifle made today!
