this savage is a great shooting rifle it looks great , i never had a rifle with a thumbhole but after shooting it i really like it , the bolt use a little tight at first but after putting some gun oil on it and working it it losses up and works great ,,,, thanks again BUDS

The .17 wsm is a great firearm for taking out the groundhog problems around home. With a quality scope and heavy barrel this gun is deadly.

I am very disappointed with this product. I load the magazine and when I close the bolt to load the first round, the magazine pops out and will not load the round. If I hold the magazine it will load a round, but then the next round pops out the magazine. This is the first gun I have purchased from you that just is not the quality that I expected and have come to expect from your store. I like the look and feel of the gun, but it is useless unless it will load ammunition each and every time.

It looks great but the bolt and the new safety is stiff very Bought it for my 8 year old hope he can close the bolt hopefully it will work out and loosen up. And I don’t understand why you have to have the safety on fire when you rack the bolt or it won’t fire that seems like it would be a safety hazard to me but haven’t got to shoot it but a couple times to dial in the scope for my son hopefully it’s as good as it looks its a Christmas present but everything else I have bought from buds has been great shape and what it should be

Pro - Great Looking Gun. Boyds Thumbhole stock is well made and feels very natural in hand.
Cons - Average Accuracy at best. 30-40% of spent shells (Hornady Vmax 20 gr) will not eject. Winchester 25 gr better at 10% ejection failures.
AccuTrigger failed 5 shots in. Spring on safety portion of trigger out of place and jamming trigger. I could not get spring into its proper
place, but with silver safety trigger removed the main trigger does function satisfactory. AccuTrigger is cheaply made some plastic parts.
