It is an AR platform rifle that features a short stroke piston driven operating system that gives you fantastic control and follow-up better shot placement. Sig rifles deliver smooth operation, exceptional accuracy, and custom performance right out of the box. This 716 G2 Patrol has a 16" free floating barrel, a mil-spec trigger, and aluminum KeyMod forend with a continuous M1913 picatinny top rail with 20 MOA of bias built in for your favorite optics and accessories. It includes 6 position collapsible stock piece, and a 20 round polymer magazine. I'm not a gun genius. But I am retired military. This is one awesome weapon. The quality is first-rate. Plan to hand it down to my son. He served in the 2nd BN, 3SFG Airborne in Afghanistan. Go Bush Hogs. Sig is an excellent value.

The AR-10 Sig Sauer 716 DMR G2 is an amazing rifle. I am extremely happy with it, very precise and compared to other traditional brands it's a bit lighter. Yes there are lighter AR-10's than this one, but I guarantee you they're gonna cost you way more money and for very little weight difference...

I researched AR10's for several months trying to find the right one for me. Accidently, this past November I visited the SMKW in Tennessee looking to a good pocket knife. There they have a section dedicated to Sig Sauer products. In fact they have section dedicated to fire arms. I was able to hold several models of AR10's including the Sig Sauer 716DMR. It was significantly lighter than all of the others. It felt comfortable in my shoulder and I liked the overall look. It shoots with the accuracy I wanted. In fact the only fault was me! I have outfitted the AR10 with Holographic sights and a magnifier to better utilize it exceptional norm (I did it to assist me, lol). I highly recommend Sig Sauer to anyone looking for the Rolls Royce in AR10's.
