  Hi Mike, This is the new model. Ruger American updated style The Ruger SR45 is a polymer frame striker fired semi automatic pistol. It has clean, slick lines and lends itself well to concealed carry, even with the 4.5" barrel. The ergonomic design includes interchangeable back straps for a perfect fit to the hand. The frame is built from high performance glass filled nylon. The alloy steel slide has a corrosion and scratch resistant nitride finish.

  loaded to U.S. Industry Standards, including high-velocity, hollow-point and
  +P loads, loaded in brass, aluminum, or steel cartridge cases. No .45 Auto ammunition
  manufactured in accordance with NATO, U.S., SAAMI, or CIP standards is
  known to be beyond the design limits or known not to function in these pistols.
