Mossberg & Sons 500TR 12g 18" 6SH THUNDR SYN - Blue/Black, Synthetic, Fixed Stock

Pretty cool HD Shotgun for the money. What I like best about Mossberg shotguns is where they put the safety. Remington's are a tighter gun in my opinion but mossberg's are close in quality but the ambi safety is a real selling feature for me. I am 5'8 and the short stock fits me just right. I put the sling on and tried it out...and then took it off. Mine did not come with a white dot site but a red fiber optic (does not glow in the dark) sight. I think they had problems with the white sight and changed to the red fiber optic site but I could be wrong. I like the looks of the sight and how it sits pretty low. The side rails on the forearm stick out more than I would like and I dont know if I will put anything on them. To some it up this gun is a Mossberg 500 18.5 inch with a short stock, tri rail, built in (Sharp) breacher, with a low fiber optic sight and a sling. Oh yeah, and a thunder ranch logo on the side. Good deal for under $400.

Received my Mossberg Thunder Ranch today and I am 100% satisfied. This is one mean looking shotgun, especially after I added a side saddle and Streamlight TLR-1 to the rail. The description states that it has a white bead front sight, mine actually came with a red fiber optic sight, so bonus, but be careful with it, mine was loose and crooked, luckily my brother in law is a gunsmith and he was able to fix it in like 10 minutes. Not sure how good the sling is, feels kind of cheap, but then again it is better than nothing. I have a 590 as well and cant get over how short this one is, 31' a good 10' shorter than the 590, which is a good thing, it makes it a lot easier to navigate around sharp corners and the 18.5' barrel is perfect for quick target acquisition. I can't say enough about Buds, I traded an older shotgun for this one and after checking local gun stores, they gave me $50.00 more than anyone else would have. It took me a little longer to receive this weapon due to the fact that I had to ship my old one first, naturally. But once they verified its condition and wrote up my ticket, it took 4 days to receive it, hats off to Buds, great customer service, friendly and timely shipping, will buy here again. 5 stars, even with the crooked front sight because I consider it an upgrade from the white bead.
