Steyr Arms Pro Hunter II 223 Remington/5.56 NATO Bolt Action Rifle - 20" Barrel, 5 Rounds

The rifle shoots great. The stock is bulky and extremely heavy. The safety system takes getting use to. Overall not my cup of tea.

Very pretty rifle on a heavy side weight about 7-plus lbs because of the Boyds wood laminate stock. I shot the cheap Winchester ammo 55-grain so far and a little over MOA group. I haven’t tried with my Barn’s match ammo or other high grade factory loads yet so I cannot comment fully on the precision stuff but so far so good. I’m 5’9” and the LOP is perfect for me I can keep my cheek on the rest while operating the bolt action without moving my face, buttery smooth action and it looks like about 70 degrees bolt lift, a few mm than my Saur which is 60 degrees. Nice balance rifle to hold and sometimes I put it on my lap while watching TV because it’s just beautiful to hold and be on my side all the time. It is that pretty to look and feel. If can only have one rifle when the SHTF this is it in 223 caliber….and maybe my 30-06 Sauer Silver XT too��.
