I have waited just over a year to review this Rifle. I wanted to make sure I could cover all the bases with a fairly subjective approach and without have to write a novel...
The Good: This is a SOLID AR Build by the Team at Springfield Armory. Everything you could imagine and then some. I have not had one FTF, FTF, or FTE. Ever with just over 600 rounds. I have fed it 55FMJ, 62SP, and some misc stuff. NO Steel Cased Ammo ever. All Brass Cases. Consistent Groups using a Sig Sauer Romeo Red Dot foresighted at 25 yards for mostly close in work. Accuracy out to 100 has been acceptable because I wear Bifocals and anyone who has fired a Red Dot at distance knows what I'm talking about.
The Bad: The M-Lock Butt Stock is a b*^$h for me to adjust with very mild arthritis setting in. This is absolutely the worst 'squeeze to release and adjust' after market hardware I have ever handled on an AR. The Magazine Release is still 'fickle' to release so not ready to put it down yet. I do have to usually wiggle the magazine to get it out though. My Brass is going through some serious metal to metal by the time I police it up. P-Mags are working fine but once the rounds get fed be prepared to recycle some vs. reload. No complaints on anything else.
The Ugly: The Trigger. I honestly expected a lighter trigger with much less pull (Currently 8.6lbs). Reliable? Yes. Smooth Travel? Yeah...Acceptable? No. Just ordered the MCARBO Spring Kit, $12.95, for it and having used that Kit before on another build I am very happy for price.
So, Only 4 Stars from me and I'm very grateful overall for the weapon from Springfield Armory. Job Well done... JP

This is a very well put together AR 15. About the best you can get for this price. Came fast and in perfect condition from Buds.
