Cimarron 1892 45 LC 24" Octagon Barrel CASE COLORED/BLUED WALNUT - Blue/Black, 24" Barrel, 12 Rounds, Wood, Walnut Stock

I just received one of these from Bud's. Mine was made in Italy by Armi Sport (marked on top of the barrel) but with a Chiappa tag saying they made it and in a Chiappa green box and sold/imported/supported here by Cimarron. NOTE:They advise you to keep your purchase receipt handy if you need to send it in for repairs!
It is a beautiful rifle with a gorgeous color case hardened receiver, lever, forend cap and crescent buttplate. The hammer, trigger and barrel are blued. Wood to metal fit is excellent where your hands or face would be touching wood and metal together, but left slightly proud in other areas such as by the forend cap, along the front of the receiver and where the buttstock attaches to the lower part of the receiver. Wood is dark walnut with a fair amount of figure, kind of reminding me of a Browning shotgun stock. The drop on the comb fits me well and when I shouldered it with my eyes closed, I was aligned with the sights when I opened them. The sights have a blade front and deep "U" on the rear. Action is smooth and cocking with the lever is easy, trigger pull having no noticeable takeup and being very light breaking. I would swear it is not even 3 pounds! I have not been to the range yet so I can't comment on reliability or accuracy, but overall it's a very nice looking full size old west rifle with a smooth action and nice trigger.

I got exactly what I had anticipated. This rifle is very nice looking and well put together. Action is smooth and operates very easily yet tight. Wood to metal finish is very good and the case hardening is very attractive. Balances well in the hands as I had hoped it would. Even with the 24" barrel it balances at the mid point of the rifle. Should make for nice carry and naturally pointing shooter as well. Buds as always was very easy and good to work with.

This is a great gun! Out of the box the gun looks excellent in both fit and finish. Cleaned the gun and went to the indoor range since it is below 0 degree's outside. The gun shot accurately right out of the box. Great groupings shooting off-hand. The weight of the gun is very good. not too heavy and it is well balanced. Buds again does a great job with excellent delivery.
