Great rifle, exactly what they advertised

I absolutely love this gun! I received the gun from buds within a decent amount of time, but shipping was not all that fast. I don't believe that Buds Gun Shop shares any fault in this. As i tracked the package on Fedex, i noticed that they sent the package 3 states in the opposite direction before sending it back in my direction (probably an innocent mistake). After receiving the gun and holding it in my hands, I was completely satisfied with my purchase and excited to get it to the range. I mounted Vortex Crossfire II 4-12X44 scope (great budget scope) on top with Talley rings, and headed to the range. After getting it on paper and fine tuning my zero, I was drilling sub MOA groups (3 rounds) at 100 yards consistently with 0.70" being my best group over all. Moved back to 200 yards and kept drilling targets with the same results. Always holding atleast a 2.0" group or better. Moved back to 300 and kept drilling targets as expected. The very first shot that I sent down range at 300yards struck dead in the bull. Absolutely amazing! I was using Trophy Bonded 165 grain Federal Premium rounds. The gun seemed to like them pretty well. The threaded muzzle break tamed the recoil down so well, that I could have shot all day long with no issues. I love this gun! Don't get me wrong.....this is a 300 Winchester Short Magnum. When i removed the muzzle break to check for point of impact change, every letter of MAGNUM rang clear. But I have shot other magnums with way worse recoil than this rifle. Although it was stout, the recoil was still very manageable and didn't leave me NOT wanting to continue pulling the trigger. After every shot rang out, I was already anticipating the next. I will be using this gun for hunting, and I'm quite confident that I will soon be able to accurately shoot this gun out to 400 yards (my personal limit). Both Browning with the xbolt and Buds with their service, hit the nail on the head with this one. I am completely satisfied with my rifle, I am completely satisfied with its field performance, and I am completely satisfied with Buds Gun Shop. I have bought several guns from Buds over the last couple years and will continue to purchase from them. Keep Shootin! ~Kris
