  Hi Bernard, this is CA compliant without the 25rd magazine. All rimfire caliber rifles with a magazine capacity of 10 rounds or fewer (e.g.: .22LR, .17HMR, etc.) are permitted.

• Q: Is this a true AR-22? That is, does it use as many standard AR parts as possible? Or does it only look like an AR? If it takes AR parts, does anyone know which standard parts are used and which are proprietary?

• Q: Is this gun a good weight for a frail female? Is the butt stock adjustable? Can you attach a carrying shoulder strap easily?

  Steve, yes Sir, weight is 5lbs with a fully adjustable Stock and a shoulder strap can be easily added.

  To add to Richard C's answer, the stock has a picatinny rail on top which should allow you to mount almost any optic. I do not believe this stock includes a rail or sling swivel on the bottom of the handguard so adding one of those may be necessary to mount most models of bipod.
