Ruger LC9S 9MM BLUED TURQUOISE FRAME - 3.12" Barrel, 7+1 Rounds, 3-Dot Sights

Bought for the wife. This fit her hand better than other single stack 9s. She loves the color. This gun shoots great, but like all lc9s, the trigger is a little strange and mushy. Not my favorite fun by any stretch, but it is what I expected. And makes a great overall carry gun.

Purchased for the Mrs and wish I would have purchased a his and hers set. The gun really is a sweet shooter. The wife thoroughly enjoys it. Trigger is great compared to my clunky G43. I still would prefer to carry my Glock even if I had the Ruger but that’s based on more time and more rounds of proof with the G43. However we have a couple hundred rounds through the Ruger with no issues. Transaction was great dealing with Buds and we were able to get the pistol at a great price!

This review is after shooting 100 rounds of 115 grain FMJ ammo over one, 1-hour session. Over-all this pistol was a pleasure to shoot and performed flawlessly. Some personal dislikes that I had about it: about 50 rounds in, the part of my hand between my thumb and forfinger became red and irritated by the upper portion of the backstrap that you wedge your hand into in order to get a good grip, and my trigger finger would often run into my over lapping thumb on the opposite hand when I would pull the trigger - both of these issues could just be due to the size of my hands. I don't have super large hands, but they arent small either. The trigger reset is a bit longer than I like. Breaking it down to clean afterwards wasn't difficult, but it did involve the removal of a pin which requires something the size of a paperclip, and very specific alignment, to pushout from one side. These arent really gripes so much as things I don't care for personally. I also want to add that it feels heavy for its size, but I enjoyed that aspect as it felt more solid when shooting compared to some lighter pistols. Over-all it is a great gun, and a perfect size for concealed carry. I should also note that this was a purchase for my wife for Christmas. If this were for me specifically, I likely would not carry it as I feel the issues I had with my hands would be a deal breaker. Just for comparison, I carry an MP9 Shield that fits my hands perfectly. Hope this helps anyone looking to buy. Buds was awesome the whole way through, but you should already know that.
