A very good 20 gauge for the money!! a makes a good varment gun, or a good home defense weapon for my wife! Get a 10 round clip, and put 11 rounds in this shotgun. Also a lightweight gun.

where has this gun been all my life? first a couple dings. barrel installation was difficult for me of average gun engineering knowledge. the instruction manual says shotshell ramp must be removed, i couldnt do it, sent service request for advice and was told its removal is not necessary for barrel installation. that simplified things greatly, but could have been avoided with accurate manual instructions. service request replies were prompt and precise. also vague is positioning of the gas cylinder oring. now for the good stuff. my 73 year old shoulders are punished by 12 ga recoil, i can no longer tolerate the 12. figured a 20 might be better for me. when i first shouldered the raider i was anticipating somewhat less recoil and shocked that there was NO recoil to either right or left shoulder with 7.5 high brass. shot several mags of that and tried no. 1 buck, still no recoil. a powerful load with no recoil, what a match that is. loading the mag is not speedy, the head of the incoming brass shell catches on the inner lip of the loaded shell, esp difficult on that 5th shell into the mag. doable certainly just not smoothly. loading the mag into the receiver so far takes a bit of effort, gotta line it up just right and maybe with some break -in time will smooth out. again certainly doable, just not smooth yet. only shot 25 or so rounds this one time but no issues at all. do make sure fore end cap is real tight, mine loosened after 6 rounds til i gave it extra effort to tighten. ghost ring sight are great, i have some rifle slugs ordered and will then tune those sights for the slugs. for buds price of 219$ this may be the best gun deal of the decade

Came with the barrel removed but in the box. Install is a little bit like an 870 barrel, but a little bit trickier (fore end stock needs to come off for the barrel to fit). Also, not quite sure about the picatinny rail. My Sig Sauer Romeo optics don't seem to fit quite right and I've had them off and on 2 or 3 different guns this week trying to decide which I want to have mounted on which gun.
