Poor Hi-point does not get much love, but everyone that shoots one of their carbines likes them. Magazines are costly and the extended capacity aftermarket magazines do not function well, but with a factory magazine it runs 100 reliable and you get very good accuracy. Simple blowback design, not much to go wrong with them. Fit and finish are borderline terrible, the trigger sucks, but once you get past that and actually put some rounds in the 10 ring you can't help but smile. Would I want this as my primary weapon? Not so much, Would I put one behind the seat of my truck out on the farm to shoot coyotes etc? Why yes... I would. 5 stars for function, 3 stars for fit and finish and lack of high capacity mags rounds out to 4 stars for this one.

This is a great gun man! I've gone through about 400 rounds and not a not a single jam with the magazine that comes with it (never use an extended mag). It's smooth with absolutely no recoil and extremely accurate. I would recommend this carbine to anyone who likes firearms and wants a cheap reliable one!

WISH LIST really works !!! This ugly thing is great, I just ordered 2 Magazines at 15 rounds each (after market) hope they work good. Looking into the ATI stock, It makes this gun look great & 9mm bullets, Good caliber at a good price.

The attractive price and 9mm caught my eye but the way this thing shoots hooked me for good! Smooth and reliable, this shooter is sweet where it counts. It is accurate to 200 yards (for me anyway). I have put about 200 rounds through it and not one jam or misfeed. i love this and am considering buying another one in the 40 caliber because I already own a S&W semi auto handgun in the 40. If you want an inexpensive and reliable shooter, this is it. :-)

Just received this carbine and ran a quick 150 rounds through it--Looks like I will be putting many more rounds through it in the future!!! Accurate, nice handling and fun to shoot! Just FYI, my FFL checked with the California DOJ and yes, I am a California resident with the 9mm carbine---Legally.
