CZ-USA 527 Euro Varmint Bolt Action Rifle 223 Remington - 25.6" Barrel, 5+1 Rounds, Wood, Turkish Walnut Stock

I’m a big fan of cz rifles and the quality of this rifle was as I expected,however,the accuracy was not as good as the other cz’s I have owned.not bad just not great.

I purchased this rifle about 2 years ago. Out of all my guns I’d rank this as my most accurate centerfire rifle. Out of the box it’s an amazing looking gun. It has a long barrel but a seemingly shorter LOP so it’s not any longer than an ordinary rifle.
Accuracy wise from a bench and sand bags I’m getting 0.4s with 63grs soft point and 0.3s (easily) with 69gr; both handloads. Best group I’ve shot was 0.181 center to center at 100. Topped with a Leupold 6-18.
Highly recommend this gun and any CZ for that matter.

With all the hoopla and hype over the AR-15 it is easy to forget the fine qualities of that basic cartridge: the .223 Remington. Having been available now for well over one half century the .223 has become a classic that stands on its own merits and needs no further recommendation by me. What is significant however is that the CZ Model 527 Euro Varmint has multiple features that allows that cartridge to meet its optimum potential without having to be concerned with how well it makes the action work without a jam. A finely made, well balanced classic bolt gun with a realistic barrel length and weight, the CZ 527 it is a true pleasure to shoot and to work up precision hand loads for. Fine wood fitted to blued steel has artistic appeal that is unknown in so many of the current state-of-the-art firearms. Fitted with a high quality scope this wonderful rifle is providing me with a great deal of enjoyment as I wring it out at various ranges and with various loads in my attempt to get all the bullets to go into the same hole. Flat out fun gun for riflery and marksmanship at its best without getting your shoulder beaten black and blue.

Can't even get the bolt in the gun. If I could give this less than one, I would. Now I have read there are a lot of bolt problems with CZ. Pick another rifle.

Beautiful, well made rifle. Because of its scaled down Mauser action, selecting the right scope is vert important as the bolt handle clearance can be minimal depending on endbell size. This is the second CZ 527 rifle I've purchased and would certainly buy another. Fit and finish on mine are beautiful. The challange for me is buying something online without actually seeing the rifle, as wood quality,finish and bluing matter to me. Stock photos from the manufacture don't accurately represent the firearm,very well. Most distributors won't open the box and inspect the firearm before shipping to the FFL. If you like pretty wood and bluing, buy locally. What you see is what you get.

Excellent rifle. Fit and finish are next to perfect. Something you normally don't see in a rifle in this price range. Today was the first time at the range and it logged an impressive 1/2 MOA with factory R-P 55gr ammo. Can't wait to work up some loads and see what it's capable of doing. I previously purchased the 527 Carbine in 7.62 x 39 (another excellent rifle) and was so impressed with it and the set trigger that I was compelled to buy another. I've never been more pleased with a rifle than I am with these CZs.

I ordered this rifle on Wed.Got it on Fri.Dealing w/Buds was easy ,as usual. Put a Vortex 4-16x42 scope on it and laser bore sighted it. Took it out to the range and put (2) 20 rd boves of 55g American eagle through it,just to break it in a little.Then I zeroed it w/Hornady 55g American gunner.1/2" groups @100 yrds. On Sun.I took it out to my friend's land,where he has it set up to shoot out to 650 yrds in 50 yrd incriments. I used the rest of my 50 rd box of American Gunner.2 1/2" groups @ 300 yrds.I even rang the gong at 650yrds. Very happy w/this purchase.Once it is broken in and I work up a load,I expect this 527 Varmint to be a real good shooter!

I recently purchased a CZ 527 varmint rifle in 223 caliber... I installed a 6.5 x 20 x 40 leupold scope on the rifle. I went to the local gun range and shot 100 and 200 yard targets.. I did six groups of 3 shots each and the gun averaged 0.87 inch groups with factory ammo...I was shooting ultramax ammo with 55gr soft points. This is my 3rd CZ rifle and I am VERY PLEASED WITH THE ACCURACY right out of the box. SAM S.
