I’ve owned many guns over the years, but, never had a NIB weapon fail mechanically…until now. At fifteen rounds the bolt charging “handle” seared off! This was a shocker. Shortest Range day ever. Contacted Savage. Got a prompt replacement part ordered. But, for a gun to fail in this manner was a huge disappointment. The ammo was standard velocity, Federal, 40gr lead bullet .. for Semi Autos not El Spico stuff. I would not buy this gun again. Another failure? I will bury it in my backyard with 20 pounds of Rock Salt.
