Can this model use +P ?

William, yes Sir it is +P Rated. Just stick to a frequent clean, lube and inspection routine and you will be just fine. Cheers and stay safe!

William, yes this model will handle +p ammunition just fine. Like all manufacturers S&W recommends limited use since +p ammunition can wear parts quicker than standard velocity ammo but unless you're shooting thousands of rounds I doubt you'll ever notice a difference. Hope this helps.

William, yes you can use +P ammo in this gun. From the owner's manual - "Plus-P” (+P) ammunition generates pressures in excess of the pressures associated with standard ammunition. Such pressures may affect the wear characteristics and may result in the need for more frequent service. “Plus-P-Plus” (+P+) ammunition must not be used in Smith & Wesson® firearms." - Have a great day!

David, yes, you rack the slide and shoot, this does not have a manual thumb safety. I'd still consider this a medium amount of force to rack but out of the two you've asked about this one's easier to rack Here's a link to a pistol that is known for having a easy rack slide if interested. It's a Walther ccp m2 Wich has Walthers soft recoil technology, so it recoils less and is easier to rack then most 9mm handguns. It was rated one of the top pistols for people with arthritis. Really like this S&W M&P 2.0 with the 4" barrel. In the realm of tiny compact carry some might consider this a bit large. Personally I like the longer sight radius and balance. The interchangeable grips are a big plus as well
