This model comes threaded for standard chokes, and includes Modified choke.

Charles, you can change chokes, but it only comes with a modified choke tube.

Does it have a 3 position recoil tube or is it a single position recoil tube.

3-Position, should be all ready for an OEM collapsible stock (assuming that's the reason for this question) if you can find one in stock and for a reasonable price. Personally, I went with model 11701 and switched the recoil tube myself after finding one in stock after several weeks of checking.

Chad, Model 11703 and M1014 came with Single Positiion Recoil Tubes. I would verify information by Model#/UPC code before purchase with Benelli Customer Service (301) 283-6981 (option 2) or (800) 264-4962 (option 2), 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday.

I Highly Recommend this gun if you have an appreciation for a good tactical shotgun! It pulls up really well and the sights on this gun from the manufacturer are the best and adjustable. Well put together no loose parts and just absolutely crips action! Patterns Amazing!!! Bit expensive for the average gun enthusiast just wanting a fun target practice weapon. If you want a good reliable home defense shotgun you can’t go wrong here!

I have wanted one of these Benelli M4 Tactical Shotguns for years. I bought a Benelli M2 7 or 8 years ago and love it, but I have always wanted a Benelli M4 as well. Being that I am not a fan of a pistol grip on a shotgun, I looked all over the place for this model that comes with the Benelli Standard Stock, also known as the Benelli Comfort Stock. Finally found one at Bud's Gun Shop and ordered it right away. I love this shotgun!!!! It is the best money I have ever spent and I'm so glad that I bought it. I still love my M2 but now I have it's younger brother and I'll never sell either one of them. This M4 has a feeling of quality when I shoulder it, and the recoil is very noticeably lighter than any of my pump shotguns. Terrific weapon. I just got it last week and its already mounted on the wall above the door in my walk in closet where it stands ready for home defense.

No complaints, really an amazing shotgun. Only tip I can give is don’t try to use low recoil ammunition in a semi shotgun as it wont completely eject [even in an M4 :(] Can’t say whether it’s worth the additional upgrade from an M2 as I’ve not done anything extreme with it but it is definitely a very manageable firearm.

By far the best combat/home defense shotgun I have ever owned. Fit and finish is superb. One only has to pick it up to see the quality built into it, it just feels solid in the hands.I chose the traditional straight stock due to the fact that over the past thirty or so years, all the shotgunning I have done, has been with the traditional style stock. Not downgrading the pistol grip variant, but this one is just my preference. I was going to spend less on another similar shotgun, but I know I would have had that nagging voice in my head telling me "you could have had an M4". No buyers remorse here. I will enjoy this shotgun for years to come, and pass it down to my son. Not going to wear this one out! And as for dealing with Bud's, all I can say is "just perfect" Never had a transaction go wrong with them, The customer service is top notch, and you get exactly what you expect from them. Great bunch of people.
