Another great experience with Buds! This place is hands down the best in the business, and after MULTIPLE purchases over the years, I can say with confidence that I don't shop anywhere else. On to the weapon review... I read a lot of reviews about the trigger being "gritty", which was true until after the first 100 rounds. The trigger now after the first 100 rounds (in my humble opinion) is probably one of the best that I've experienced. The weapon design itself was very well thought out, and it fired everything that I fed it without a single hiccup. I love the fact that I am not stuck using only one red dot footprint, and the suppressor height sights definitely do the trick for co-witnessing purposes. In all, this is an excellent weapon that I would highly recommend to anyone, and I can't wait to get my hands on a new FNX-45 very soon!

Very well made polymer frame 9mm, I like the fact this one has the newer heavy duty striker and the flat face trigger, compared to the plain 509 this one is better for sure, the trigger still has a little bit of a gritty feel to it that does smooth out slightly over time. What is really important is the break is short and crisp with a tiny bit of creep and the reset is very tactile and clicky. Not a bad striker fire trigger at all.

Wow! Either I hit the "trigger lottery" or FN upped their game for this model! Looked at many FN509's over the years and walked away because the triggers were absolutely awful--- felt like a 9lb pull through a box of gravel. After breaking this one down to clean out the sticky rust preventative coating (it was also in the striker channel and striker block), the trigger has a grit-free pull in the 5lb range with a nice crisp break. I'm impressed! One warning when removing the striker: there is a TINY "spring stop" and a pin holding it in place in the striker. Was not aware of this and spent 15 minutes crawling around on the floor looking for them after I removed the striker and spring. As long as you're aware of this it shouldn't be a problem.

LOVE FN509, the trigger on this model the new LE version is superb. I highly recommend this pistol, it is a great shooter.

This thing is a gem, Shout out to buds gun shop. I have a two FN 509s, one is compact, the other being this one. I ran this one at the range with no hiccups whatsoever.
