A:No sir most corrosive ammo is \"Steel cased\" this is 62gr \"Steel core\" which is means it has a Steel penetrator in the middle, this is for enhanced barrier penatration, and is what the military uses m855 ( They\'ve actually switched now to M855 A1 but its still got the Steel core)
Even most modern Steel case ammo is no longer corrosive, corrosive ammo is typically Steel cased, spam can surplus ammo with beridian primers, and even with the corrosive stuff most modern AR-15\'s will still run it just fine or just requires more frequent cleaning.
But that won\'t be an issue with this ammo. -

A:The Ruger AR556 is made for 5.56, so it will handle .223 no problem, as that is made at a lower pressure.So this ammo is perfectly fine. You don't want to do it the other way around though, as the extra pressure can cause excess wear and potentially catastrophic failure.See 5 more answers |
