Wanted a full size .45. Springfield makes good ones that won't break the bank. Very nice trigger, clean break. The weight is just right and shoots well. Fits my large hands very good. Got a great price from Bud's and appreciate their service.

25 April 2015 - I finally took my Springfield Parkerized out to the range with Winchester hollow points, Speer Gold Dot 200 grain +P hollow points and several types of FMJ. I got six failures to feed and eject with Springfield magazines so I tried Wilson Combat magazines #47 and #608. Not one failure experienced in 250 rounds. I shot a ragged hole three inches in diameter in center mass, recoil is manageable with ammo listed above, not bad for a left hander. Springfield Armory makes a great product and Buds is where you should buy your guns.

This Springfield loaded is very impressive. The Parkerized finish is flawless but requires oiling with CLP occasionally which is no issue. The ambi safety and front/rear cocking serrations are smoothed out and do not cut into the skin like my stainless loaded did three years ago. The Novak night sights are wonderful in daytime or night, the grip safety with the memory grip ensures positive engagement and the beavertail is at a perfect grip angle. There is a slight creep to the trigger but breaks crisp at or around five pounds.but once I get to the range, it should work its way out. I have not taken it to the range for a test drive but if it is like the other comments for this model (PX9109LP) it should be close to a tack drive. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this purchase and the crew at Buds have great customer service skills that make your firearm needs a priority and that is the reason why they are number one.
