I have fired 600 rounds from this .45 without a single mishap. I much prefer this pistol over the Kimber Ultra Carry II. Accuracy is as good as it gets from this size pistol. The white three dot sight system is bold as the entire firearm is strictly business with much attention put in to quality and detail. The slide glides over the frame rails effortlessly. Recoil is considerable yet controllable. I do not recommended this pistol for: Girly-men, the meek, little girls or sissies. This .45ACP weighs in at 25.3 OZ empty including the magazine making this comparable in weight to most polymer "wonder 9's" If you are familiar with the 1911 and want an excellent shoulder holster, IWB or OWB pistol, which is easily concealable and relatively lightweight this S&W is peerless. Owning this firearm, I do not feel the need for a $3,000.00+ "high end" .45. This .45 ACP fills the hand well and it is plenty good enough even for the most discriminating .45 ACP aficionado

Took my 1911 to the range the next day. I ran 150 rds through it with no problems what so ever. I love this 1911.

What can you say, about CustomS&W 1911's! with 500 rounds of Fed and Armscor FMJ ammo and JHP 230 g P loads.the barrel broke in nice, with distances out to 15 yards was spot on with a 5-inch hold over at neck level at a man Silhouette target hit the Chest and heart area in 2.1/2 " groups 1.1/4 inch at 10 to 3 yards at1/4.in a CCW sim Situation.With the right Holster and mag Holster made out of leather to protect this custom beauty, I have no complaints, the finish quality of the whole pistol had no mare or bad scratches," NIB from BDG.com." an ease of taking her down to clean and maintain. I have been an Online customer since 2011 and have really no complaints with Buds.
