The 1873 peacemaker-style revolver, originally designed for the U.S. Cavalry, quickly became the archetypical sixgun of the frontier. Made in a number of powerful chamberings in different barrel lengths, besides the "peacemaker," it was also known by other monikers like "hogleg," smokewagon," and "equalizer." In civilian hands, it quickly earned a reputation as a rugged, hard-hitting, well balanced revolver and outsold all competitors. Men like Wyatt Earp, Bat Masterson, John Selman, the James-Younger gang, the Daltons, the Texas and later the Arizona Rangers, all packed this legendary arm and did their smoky work with it. With the coming of the Silver Screen, the Model P was reintroduced to an entirely new generation of admirers and in the hands of such Western stars as John Wayne, Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy, Tom Selleck, Clint Eastwood and countless others, the gun has earned lasting fame with shooters and Old West fans alike! Very good replica of the Colt SSA. Color Case hardening is very good. Fit not as good as Colt but still acceptable (for the price). Shoots good. John Jackson

This is a great example of the revolver carried by many US Army Cavalry soldiers during the "Indian Wars." I've already made a half-flap (right-handed) holster and cartridge belt for it. It also shoots exceptionally well.

This is my third sa uberti and I think it’s my favorite one. I don’t mind only three clicks on the hammer. It’s the sound I get when the trigger is pulled that I like. Shoots very close to point of aim off hand and functions perfectly

Beautiful looking Uberti/Taylor/Cimarron replica of the famous Colt Peacemaker-- at less than a third of the cost of a Colt reissue. The fit and finish is beautiful and the action is very smooth. Very happy with the purchase.
