I love the rock Island 1911’s. I now have 3 different models. I’ll probably get another before to long lol. Good guns, they’re always really good.

Not too bad. However I wish Rock Island Armory did better with the mags. They aren't easy to find and while their price is low, good luck finding them anywhere in store. The firearm itself is pretty decent but the trigger pull feels like it's a defected item. The weight feels amazing and the slide feels like it belongs to a Colt.

Rock Island make a very affordable forearm with good quality. I own a 10mm Single Stack and love it as well. The TAC Ultra FSHC Single .45 ACP 5 is a good buy as well. It seems to be a bit more snappier than other .45acp's that I own but it is pretty accurate. My only negative is the face of the trigger is somewhat abrasive and it irritates my finger after a few hundred rounds. Otherwise it is an excellent purchase.

This thing is a BEAST! It shoots flat and very accurate even with smaller than average hands.

Service and delivery from Buds was flawless, as usual. The pistol arrived in factory new condition, with a lot of preservative on it, which is a good thing. It allows a good inspection of the internals while you clean it up. First of all, it is an all steel pistol, and weighs accordingly. It is a handful, but in a good way. It is not a concealed carry pistol, unless you are a really big person. This pistol is designed for a different mission. I use it for things that go bump in the night. With a Streamlight TLR-4 light and laser hanging off the picatinny rail on the dust cover of the pistol, and 14 rounds of 45 ACP firepower in my hand, I am not really to worried about critters in my back yard at night, or their Hollywood horror movie counterparts. Mechanically, the slide fit is very tight and smooth. The barrel fit is very good, locks on the lugs, not on the link. The barrel bushing is tight, and has a full length steel guide rod. The safety is crisp and positive. The grip safety is well fitted, has a confidence bump, an extended tang, and works smoothly. The trigger is skeletonized, with an overtravel adjustment screw, and works amazingly well for a 1911 of this price point.. It is crisp, breaks clean, nice reset, with little take up.The rear sight is adjustable, so you can match up your point of aim with your point of impact. The front sight has a fluorescent red insert rod, that works, but needs to be changed out because it looks like it has soaked up to much oil. The grip panels are smooth plastic, but the back of the grip has deep checkering, and has an oversized mag well on it, so it kind of locks my hand into the grip just right to hold on to this full figured grip. Accuracy is very good. The good trigger, sights, grip, and sheer weight of this thing makes shooting it a pleasure. Overall, I am very pleased with this pistol, and would recommend it to anyone.

Great .45 been a wonderful addition to my collection havnt had a problem with it yet very smooth gun.

I call this one "my baby". Has never let me down. Never jammed. Very comfortable and balanced. Sleeps with me every night. No doubt. Get a good tac light and a new friend.

This is a super pistol!. Trigger is acceptable, from functions as a 1911, with all the added items. Solid enough to re configure to shoot all 3 .45s, .45 Super/450 SMC, .45 +p, & .45! What’s not to like?

Big heavy gun don't order if you want something light weight, but I love the weight, the double stack mag, and just over all the gun is awesome.

Had previously purchased this double stack in 10mm and 9mm. I was impressed enough with those to get it in 45acp. Rock Island makes some nice 1911's, especially for the price. Good shooter. I am not concerned with the projected life time of mim parts.
