CZ-USA 455 VAT TRAINER .22 LR 24" - 24" Barrel, 5+1 Rounds, Synthetic, Camo/Fixed Stock

Typical fantastic Bud's service.... Thank you Bud's. To all interested in the CZ455 Precision Trainer please note the added cost over a 455 Tacticool or varmint model is purely the Manners stock. The barreled action is a typical CZ set-up. Including the hideous trigger, trigger guard, plastic magizine well and useless bolt handle / knob assembly. For me the CZ455 is a project build so if you are expecting Anschutz quality out of this model I would suggest dishing out the extra cash and ordering the Anschutz / Manners set-up. Once the CZ455 Precision trainer is tuned and properly bedded they will stand toe to toe with any rifle out there.

Overall good gun, The Pros are 1, Its a CZ " I like a lot of there stuff " ,2 The stock was perfect it came with a manners stock right out of the box "you cant beat that with a 10' stick" 3, It came with a decent stock barrel that ain't bad. It is threaded with a good crown and shoots a variety of ammo very well. Overall Pros. I would say in my humble overall opinion that you cant get this kind of accuracy for the money in this price bracket. It is by far the most accurate out of the box .22 lr you can buy for under $900! Cons 1, Trigger needs work. At about the 3.5 pound pull weight there is a stiff spot and hangs up to 2+ - 5.9 pounds before the break and it never breaks at the same weight not even close even after several cleanings and light polishing. The good news is there is several good and inexpensive options in the price range of $20.00 to $100.00 varying from a 20 buck spring kit all the way to a drop in Timney trigger. Both are good but the Timney is the way to go. and then you always have a spare in the case. 2, A little sloppy in the way it sits in the stock and where the barrel meets the action, The aftermarket Lilja is a far superior barrel that fits the action quite well and is 1 of the 2 drop in aftermarkets you can easily do at home with very minimal tools and greatly improve accuracy, It is A great upgrade but pricey. I believe it is greatly worth spending the dollars to put a true bench rest quality barrel that has been tried and trued. Put it to the test, I don't like to miss.

God I wish I would have had a .22 like this when I was a kid. This is one fine shooting rifle for anyone of any age.

Shipping was fast. Item was correct and price was great. This was my first order from Buds but am completely satisfied. I ordered the CZ 455 VPT Trainer with the Manners stock and right out of the box it's a shooter. Easy to get parts for but the only thing I may replace at this time is the trigger. Trigger has some creep but I can still shoot great groups at 50 yards with good ammo. I've yet to stretch it out past that but will soon.
