Super accurate rifle! Really happy with this purchase. Bough this for my wife, i have the TR version. She shot it and loved it, so i had to get her one (different version same rifle) I added a scope and bipod, she can shoot half inch 5 shot groups (at 50 yards) all day long, as long as she does her part. Using CCI standard velocity ammo. She plans on this to be a bench rest rifle. Trigger is great, and adjustable. She left it as received at just over 2lbs. She is very happy with this rifle out of the box. Doesn't need any mods to be great!

After a few test shots to calibrate my scope, I could consistently get holes to touch at 50 yards. This thing is ACCURATE! The bolt action is smooth and gets smoother as you break it in. The recoil is insignificant, the sound is like a small whip cracking. It feels like you're shooting pellet gun that can blow a hole through thin steel. It puts a smile on your face :)

Not so happy with this one. The magazine shipped with the gun was defective. Poor construction in the magazine. The way the magazine inserts into the mag well could definitely be engineered to be more user friendly.

This is an absolute tack driver. I put a few dozen rounds of CCI standard, Aguila Super Extra, and Norma Tac-22 through it and it eats it all up. All three were in the same hole at 25 yards and under half an inch at 50. Super happy with this rifle.

You will never go wrong with savage rifles, I own many, all of them super reliable, this one is another add on to the list, it performed as good at the other, go for it.

Overall, good product, in the typical savage fashion, the accuracy right out of the box is outstanding, the actions are usually tight upon first use when locking the bolt into position, but can be polished for smoother action. The savage bolt surface is a bit rough from the factory, after slight polishing this will smooth up the slide of the bolt. Savage shell extraction can be weak after a few rounds, but taking the horseshoe clip off the bolt and slightly squeezing the clip will provide excellent shell extraction. Overall great value. This order was initially received with a completely broken butt stock, and Buds provided great information for warranty. Be aware that if you take possession of the firearm, Buds replacement warranty is reverted back to the manufacturer. Not a big deal in this case as we usually change out the stocks for a more durable stock (like Boyds, or Magpul).
