Daniel Defense DDH9 9mm Pistol Optic Ready - 4.3" Barrel, 15 Rounds

Purchasing a first generation firearm is always a gamble. In the case of the H9, it is also the first handgun by the manufacturer. I know that some shooters with high visibility experienced some very specific issues. I have not. I am consistently impressed by this firearm. I am now well past 500rds and I have experienced no significant malfunctions. It feels like a 1911 in the hand and shoots like any other striker fired. I would highly recommend a Daniel H9 to anyone. Just a side note, Bud’s continues to be a no nonsense seller. Everything ships immediately and arrives quickly.

I like this pistol quite a bit. Obviously it's not going to match a 1911 on the trigger but in my opinion I like the trigger (after you get use to play in the blade) much more than a glock and it's miles better than the trigger in my sig p365xl. I've spent the last 2 decades trying to find a good trade off between size, capacity and concealability. I've carried everything from a kel-tech p3at to a full size 1911 and a glock 22 and more. And while this is a little more to conceal than my p365 the trigger and ergonomics fit the bill for me at the moment. My only gripe, and the reason this pistol only gets 4 stars, is that accuracy greatly suffers with real light/cheap rounds (115 grain winchester steel case for example). Every round I've tried has cycled flawlessly but I've never seen a centerfire gun that has had accuracy so effected by cheap ammo. I know Daniel is swapping out barrels to cure these ills so hopefully that will correct the problem
