Rating: 1 of 5 Stars!
The rifle is made by Armi Sports/Chiappa in Italy. Love the octagon bl. 100 rounds cycles and shoots great, just a small sight adjustment. The bluing and case hardening is beautiful. The wood is a lot nicer than I was expecting along with great fitment. Looks like full figured walnut. Top notch all the way around. Very pleased with this rifle.

Rating: 5 of 5 Stars!
I bought this because I wanted a long gun with the same round as a pistol of the same brand. The first thing that you do when you get to the range and squeeze the trigger is hit what you aim at. The thing just shoots straight and pure round after round. I tried "rapid" firing and taking time between each round and my grouping didn't change by even a quarter inch either way. My first ever 5 rounds were all inside of the 'red' bullseye area of my target at 50 feet. Note that this site says 12 rounds capacity, but it is really 11+1. No real recoil. This piece is well balanced, not as heavy as it looks and the action works very well.
I bought some snap caps so that I could familiarize myself with these early designs. They definitely helped me work through the action, loading/unloading, etc., but they act nothing like the real unfired cartridges or spent shell casings. This piece really does shoot very well. It is a lot of fun to shoot and it is easy to hit what you aim at. I am very pleasantly surprised by the quality, simplicity and accuracy of this firearm.
In today's age of rapid-change magazines, one can really appreciate this design compared to the single-shot muzzle loaders that it replaced. Even if treated as a single shot machine, you'd be 5+ seconds ahead of the guy with the black powder system in a skirmish.
With the snap caps, I experienced a lot of issues with feeding and ejecting that simply did not occur at all with live ammo/dead brass. For example, the feeding was incredibly smooth and fluid with the live ammo. The snap caps (which looks/feel identical to the real thing, except for being made of aluminum) failed to feed properly and/or rise up from the magazine properly. They also ejected about 20 feet behind me. The live ammo fed very reliably (much to my relief after first trying with snap caps) and I did not experience a F2F over roughly 50 rounds fired. They also ejected in a very sane way, which was initially a concern of mine partly because I didn't want to eject brass behind me at potential spectators and I definitely didn't want it flying in my face or otherwise applying a hot surface to my skin. They ejected perfectly and 'responsibly' IMO.
Can't emphasize enough how fun this is. RSOs were glad to pop off a few rounds with it. It would be nice to be able to upload the photo of the first target I shot with it. All 5 in a ~3" circle at 50' with open/factory sights without any modifications/changes at all.
The one thing that I didn't do/try was load a full mag of 11 live ammo. For whatever reason, it didn't occur to me while at the range and I was trying to get to know the part without rushing through too much expensive ammo.
