It's awesome. Stop looking and buy it. Got this 1873 and it is hands down my favorite cowboy action rifle. I have nothing poor to say about it. Got it in 45lc to match a pistol. Limited availability and had to wait a bit to recieve. Fit and finish is pristine. I could do without the "deluxe package" as I believe it just comes with checkering but was the only one that was in stock. Not sure why the price says 6500 when I'm posting this review but it was priced comparable before at around 1300. If you get a chance, buy it. Just buy it. It WILL make you smile every time you pull it out of the safe.

Just purchased and received my CIMARRON 1873 DELUXE .45 LC rifle. Wow! This weapon is beautifully made. Very nice addition to my collection. Have shot it yet but can’t wait. Only noticeable downfall is that the lever is loose. Jiggles... I have numerous lever action rifles and their all snug and tight. Concerned.

Purchased the 1873 Deluxe in 45 Colt for Cowboy Action Shooting. The wood is beautiful and the finish perfect. The color case hardened receiver really stands out. The action is very smooth and cycled without fail. After a good cleaning was taken to the range. Since it was purchased for CAS, distances were kept to 7, 15 and 25 yards. Sights were left as received and, with a dead on hold, hits were clover leafing in 10 ring. After 100 rounds there were zero malfunctions. Was a little hesitant about the 24" barrel, as most CAS shooters prefer shorter barrels, but I found it gave perfect balance to the rifle. Next outing I'll open up the distance to 50 and 100 yards. I'm sure it will shoot just as good. I Love this rifle!
