Taurus G2C Brown/Black 9mm Pistol - Stainless/Silver, 3.2" Barrel, 12 Rounds, Polymer Grips, 3-Dot Sights

This is my 4th Taurus G2C. Best daily CC in my opinion, for the $. Never had issues with any of them. Getting different colors to vibe with my fit that day.

As a former Army combat NCO and lifelong intuitive shooter I purchased my G2C after doing a lot of research as a truck gun at the cheapest possible price to carry with me when I want something small but effective anywhere from in town to salmon fishing in the heart of Grizzly country here in Alaska. As an intuitive shooter, it didn't take me long at all to get "zeroed" and this pistol is a tack driver and it has never failed me in any way. Some of my visitors with hardly any shooting experience were able to quickly hit small targets at 25 feet with the G2C. The recoil is very manageable, and in Grizzly Country, I trust this as much as I trust a Glock or my normal carry gun which is a CZ75B, and I think that says it all. I highly recommend this for anyone if you are on a budget.

I was looking for an inexpensive compact for occasional alternative carry duty. I expected better after trying other Taurus pistols. Overall: 2 Quality: 2 Initial fit and finish seemed good as the gun operated smoothly and seems solid and tight. Reliability: 3 I had no loading or misfire issues. I am concerned that the trigger mechanism might be malfunctioning. More on that later. Accuracy: 2 I had difficulty getting a solid, effective grip. It just doesn't fit my hands well. The trigger is terrible. The take up is looong, heavy, and crunchy. Much more importantly, the reset was strangely and disturbingly inconsistent. Sometimes I had to fully release the trigger to get it to reset. Other times it worked properly. It did seem to improve and fail to reset less often after I had a couple hundred rounds through it. Still that is unacceptable. I need to bring it in to a gun smith to see if something is malfunctioning. I'll edit this post if it can be and is repaired. It's past warranty at this point. Value: 2 This would be a 3 if the trigger functioned consistently and a 4 if the trigger was as good as a G3. If this gun requires any gunsmith work to get it to work properly the value is a 1.

YEAH............... Great lil gun, great price. The only little and I mean little drawback is the take up on the first stage of trigger, it's a lil farther than I'm used to but several hundred rounds sent down range breaking it in, and BAM my wife and I are used to it. This is the second G2C I've purchased. The first was for my daughter for her everyday carry, she loves the size and performance for her personal protection. NO misfires, no mal functions. Simple disassembly for cleaning. If you have small hands, it fits well. Get ya some!

Great gun especially for the price. I've shot 300 plus rounds with no failures. Typical Buds deal with no issues and fast shipping. Fun gun to shoot with little recoil and nice finish. Very happy with Taurus and Buds.
