Only 3 stars because Girsan was so quick sending me replacement parts for defective ones it came with... I've had nothing but problems with this hi-power. The coil spring alignment rod was in pieces inside the gun right out of the box... I could hear rattling. The small bearing holding the rods internal spring popped out along with the spring. This gun has also mis-fed alot ... jamming... its all over the place as far as accuratency too..from factory it shot far left....maybe it's needs breaking in but I've shot over 200 rounds already and it's not getting better... I am an avid shooter and have no issues shooting small groups with other handguns I own... very disappointed with this purchase... if it breaks and gets better I will update this post.

I bought this pistol with the hopes that it would function like my old Browning Hi-Power. Then the dream turned into a nightmare. I had to replace the trigger spring so that a normal human could pull the trigger. Unlike a Hi-Power, the bullets went all over the target. Total disappointment. Stay away from this pistol if you want to be happy.

As per the great machine work from Girsan, it fires like it should no fail to feed and no fail to fire. The gun is just as perfect as my Girsan 9mm model 92. I love the gun.

This is a great firearm, at a great price. I have wanted a Hi Power for years, but was always put off by the prices they command. The Girsan is a fantastic option, for those of us who want the Hi Power experience, at an affordable price. This is a top quality firearm, that in my opinion is on par with original Hi Powers that I have examined. If you are looking for the high luster blue, that many of the original Browning came with, this is not the pistol for you. But if you are looking for a quality made pistol, to enjoy the same Hi Power shooting experience, then by all means get one of these. You will not be disappointed.

Always wanted a Highpower and missed out after FN Browning stopped making them. This is my second Girsan clone my first being a 1911 9mm and now this. I am so impressed. Will pickup the Springfield Highpower next followed by the new FN Highpower and then one day a real one! Must buy!

Perfect reliability so far. Excellent purchase. I have fired a variety of 9mm bullet weights through it from 115 grain to 147 grain and it worked great. I also used some surplus magazines. Great buy!

The High Power is a classic! And for a guy like me before Girsan I could never afford one. I always rented or barrowed one and had done it often over the years. This is not a perfect gun. The frame and slide have some casting flaws. It is a cast gun after all. But it stands up well to Rock island of the price point. Thanks to buds I got it got $535 shipped. While everyone else sells it for $540 before tax and shipping. Rather than pay an extra $300 for the SA-35 shipped I just paid for custom Altamont Slimline grips. I also got the BH spring solutions ultimate spring calibration kit installed and the mag disconnect Safety removed. To top it off I got 3 17 round extend mags. All for about what you'll pay for the SA-35 shipped. I disagree with the negative reviews you'll find complaining about the trigger and shoot ability of this gun at $535. Even that you'll pay more for basically the same gun (FN MARK lll are going for about $1200) or more for a slightly better out of the box gun for more money because of the Springfield name and better marketing from Springfield. I already have money down to do the same again for a PI detective build. Another gun lost to the past. Thanks buds! Fact is the price point makes this gun a good building block. For the current price of a FN mark IlI... You can just build a match grade gun.

Had a HP that I trade in on a purchase a couple years ago and been wanting to get another. Didn’t want to spend a lot and this one as in my price range so I figured I would give it a try. It has been very reliable and haven’t had any problems with it. Have put over 500 rds through hit. I would recommend this pistol to anyone wanting a cheap reliable pistol.
