Girsan MC1911 SC Matte Gray/Blued 45 ACP Pistol - Stainless/Silver, 3.4" Barrel, 6+1 Rounds, Wood Grips, 3-Dot Sights

I love the pistol but I have written to girsan usa looking for night sights but I have gotten no reply in 2 weeks now. So I can't use it a a carry pistol. Other than that I love the pistol.

Fires true sights could have been better but they're accurate, fired several hundred rounds no issues. Overall I love the gun!

Fine weapon, shoots great but would like to have info on rear sight adjustment

The first hint of trouble was the owner's manual disassembly instructions, which bore no relation to the design of the gun. Instructions called for removing a barrel bushing which does not exist. The next problem was the re-assembly, which requires compressing the long, now un-tensioned recoil spring into the spring plug below the barrel, all while holding the slide and trying to insert the guide rod with the curved side facing the barrel without bending or twisting the spring. It can be done, but is an unpleasant experience. At the range, the gun shot 2.5 - 3 inches low at 10 yards, but was consistent and accurate within that defect; that is, during the times that it functioned, which was not reliably. On two different range visits, I shot a total 250 rounds of three brands of ammo, 230 gr. FMJ from Federal, Remington, and Freedom Munitions, using two different magazines, including the one that came with the gun, and an aftermarket mag from Wilson Combat. The gun was cleaned and oiled twice. There were 4 failures to achieve battery, with the cartridge not fully seated in the chamber. There were 5 failures to feed, with the slide stuck back, cartridge sitting in magazine (happened with both mags). There were 4 jams from failures to eject. I regret this purchase and will not waste any additional ammo shooting it.

Excellent value in a light weight 1911. Shoots accurate with minimal recoil. Could not be happier with this for CCW.
