  August, it is an adapter to add a muzzle brake if you wish to. It screws in like a choke and has threads to add a muzzle brake. Hope this helps

  August, you're correct, this uses Beretta/Benelli MOBIL choke tubes and comes with three chokes, a choke wrench, and a 22x0.75 adapter. Hope this helps.
