Nice balance, sight/target picture easily acquired, great trigger. First 100 rounds 3 misfires, switched ammo and next 400 rounds fired perfectly without misfires or hang ups. It’s a fun pistol with accuracy good enough out of the box for competition.

Good donor pistol for a Volquartsen build. After an accurizing kit and upper from volquartsen its a great shooter.

This gun has been around so long I am not sure what I can say that we haven't already heard. High quality, proven design with the newer, easy take down, and this one is threaded for a suppressor and the gun makes a great host. (it also has one the best looks you can get from suppressed handgun if that matters! I actually display mine) I will also confirm, that even suppressed, the gun cycles well even with most sub sonic ammo. Lifetime investment.

The Ruger MKIX are great pistols and shoot well, however the magazines are junk. I don't know what the manufacture had in mind when they QA'd these pieces of crap, but the usual CCI MiniMag rounds won't cycle and when the magazine is pulled out the rounds just fall out of the magazine because the follower is stuck near the bottom of the tube. I tried to clean and dry the inside of the magazines and lightly lube the follower path and to not improvement. The magazines are a complete failure. Maybe storing the loaded magazine over night before shooting it at the range of looking for used magazines might be in the cards. This isn't a reflection on Bud's it's a reflection on Ruger. Or maybe the CCI ammunition has the covid 19 flu and the QA out of CCI is the culprit. Seems as though ammunition manufacturing isn't just on the makers of CCI ammunition. Crap coming out of Mexico doesn't work in my Beretta's or S&W's either.

An excellent 22 pistol! Buds was awesome and so was my FFL. This pistol is very solid and very accurate for a handgun, and stock configuration recoil is even less than I expected. However, a few gripes. On the right side of the gun is an ambidextrous safety. Unfortunately, most people who own a mark iv, and are right handed like me, have an issue where their index knuckle rubs that safety and can even activate it while shooting. Ruger includes a washer that can replace the switch, so I proceeded to do so. Unfortunately they don’t give you an Allen wrench along with the washer, so I used my own and it broke inside the screw and I now can’t remove the screw because the bit is stuck inside it. If ruger reads these reviews, please consider in the future either including the appropriate Allen wrench or leaving the right safety off entirely since so many people are having problems with it. I’m sure this issue with my safety switch will be resolved somehow but it’s frustrating that this is even a problem because of the price you pay. Other than that, I love this gun and anticipate many many years with it, and likely to even pass it down through generations! Thanks for reading and God bless����

New disassembly is excellent, Accuracy is great and has lots of aftermarket support if you are into that. Ranks highly in my rimfire collection.

What a beautiful gun - fit and finish are as good as it gets; a work of manufacturing art in my opinion. I installed a Ruger Picatinny rail, a Burris Fastfire 3, and have a Bannish 22 suppressor on the way. A sweet squirrel-getter. Purchasing through Bud's guns was excellent I could not have asked for more.

The Ruger Mark IV Target pistol with threaded barrel is what I expected it to be: an excellent handgun that is very reliable. I was surprised to find out that it will cycle standard velocity ammo. Bud's selection and service were good, as always. Satisfied customer.
