  Hi Brock and welcome. This rifle has been completely re-engineered by upgrading the quality of the steel for critical components. The new S7 Steel Bolt Carrier and feed ramps including a tool steel plate front trunnion. S7 is often referred to as a "Shock-Resisting Tool Steel" is commonly used for chisels, jackhammer tips and other tools which need to remain tough even under maximum shock and compression. In short, the VSKA adds a new heavy-duty spin on a old trusty favorite. Cheers and Happy New Year!

  No, buds will have to remove the magazine. During checkout buds will ask if you want the magazine removed, just click on yes. You will have to buy a compatible 15 round or less magazine though to use the firearm. Hope this helps.

• Q: Is this New Jersey compliant? Want to double check before I buy.

  Michael, not compliant in The Peoples Republik of NJ. It has 2 'evil' features, the pistol grip and threaded barrel. (You are only allowed 1 evil feature) It does not have a flash hider, it has a compensator. All it needs to be NJ compliant is to have the compensator pinned/welded. (And r/p the 30rd mag w/10rd) Bud's will not ship unless it is compliant as is, but plenty of online retailers will ship if your FFL agrees to do the compliancy work (it's an easy fix). As a fellow NJ resident, I feel your pain. Good luck!
