I really like it, it's an awesome little carry gun! I can carry it inside the waistband, in a belt holster. However I want to carry it, it works! I've put about four boxes of ammunition through it, no problems there either! The little gun just works everytine, all the time!! My only complaints are that disassembly requires a tool and that the rear sight isn't a night sight. But the slide is milled for an optic if I want one.

Just doing this review, but I actually purchased this through Bud's many months ago. Bud's as usual made the process easy and I've run several hundred rounds through the Max 9 since acquiring it. It's a good shooter and I've not experienced any issues. My experience with Ruger customer service has been excellent when I did need them for an issue on a different firearm. If you're looking for a reliable and affordable compact 9, take a look at the Max 9

Ruger nailed this one. I have alot of expiernce with 9mm guns. This one suprised me. The Ruger Max 9 was accurate out of the box. Fits great in the hand and is a joy to shoot. I found it to have minimal recoil. Some compalin about the take down pin, but you would only take down the gun to clean it. So, I don't get why people complain about it. I belive it to be a game changer in it's category. Nice work by Ruger.

Really nice pistol. Fits my hand very well. Has good F/R sights. Little heavier than the LC models but light and comfortable to wear.
