Havent shot this yet but this ruger american compact 45 is absolutely gorgeous. Very nice looking gun. Hoping i can update this after i shoot it and give a review. But if u are thinking about buying this gun. Do it. Seems well built very cool looking.

I really wanted to like this pistol. I'm a huge Ruger fan. I own several of them. After receiving this gun, I do what I normally do. Field strip, inspect and lightly oil it. No modifications whatsoever. First time at the range, first 100 rounds and 3 failure to feed malfunctions. I'm thinking maybe I have a bad magazine. The second malfunction was obviously the magazine at fault. The rounds jammed inside the magazine before being pushed up into the chamber. I don't think it's the ammo, Winchester 230 grain FMJ. Back to the range again today to put a couple hundred more rounds through it. If the problem persists, I'll pay attention to which magazine may be problematic, if that isn't definitive, this thing is getting traded in.

My EDC and I love it. Great looking gun but most importantly very accurate. I have shot thousands of rounds through it and have had no problems. Awesome gun and as always Bud's had it shipped very fast. Highly recommend.

Bud's was flawless, the gun is great except the magazine release is hard to press compared to every other gun I have. Shoots great and eats all ammo.
