YES, it has manual cross-bolt safety behind the trigger guard similar to Remington 870. I hope this helps!

Christopher, shotgun is equipped with a manual trigger block safety button located in the trigger guard, just behind the trigger . When the button is pushed from the left side of the receiver, protruding to the right side, the trigger is blocked and the safety is on.

Well I gotta say I enjoy my new shotgun that I purchased from this site and then picked it up from my selected FFL. I haven't used it yet but I can't wait until I can use it. Some assembly was required but was simple to do. Overall I'm satisfied with this gun.

This is a good and inexpensive shotgun. I own several Mossberg products and I really do like the safety selector that is located on the grip. If you are looking for a super high end shotgun, this is not it. This is a good entry level shotgun that will work great for a bedside gun.
