Daniel, no this gun does not have a manual safety.

Daniel, no external safety Sir. The FN 503 has a steel trigger with a safety lever inset and a 5-to-7-pound trigger. I found mine to break at an average of 5.2, which is sweet for a factory striker-fired trigger pack. It also has an extended slide stop and fenced-off magazine-release with a raised texture.

No manual thumb safety on this pistol, it does have a trigger bar safety, and a drop safety.

would this be to big for pocket carry

It honestly depends on your pockets, for a jacket sure it'd be fine. It's bigger then I'd pocket carry in my pants pocket, as its a little long and tall. This would be almost unnoticeable conceal carried appendix in a quality kydex holster. Another great quality pistol from FN. I use it for EDC and actually carry it in a pocket holster. I’m a large man with big mitts for hands and this gun fits my hand very well. It comes with a 6 and 8 single stack mags. The 6 I won’t use since I can’t get a full grip only being able to get 2 fingers on it. The 8 rd mag I get my full hand on it with no problem and it’s comfortable. Buds did a great job getting it to me quickly.

Same great quality you would expect from FNH all compacted into this perfect firearm for concealed carry. Enjoy the 8 rd mag extension that really fits well with bigger hands.

Very good fit and finish. Not a big fan of white 3 dot sights but the stock sights work good. I like the grip and slide release. Fun gun to shoot . Buds sales and service was as always top shelf.
