Beware: you have to remove the front sight to install the 14 inch version. Knew this ahead of time, but was surprised the instructions do not explain what bolts hold the front sight in place (torx vs hex) or what size (T10, T9, etc). If you use the wrong screwdriver attachment or size you will strip the bolts (which are tiny and cheap/soft), scratch up the gun, etc. Worse, the instructions are very exact on the size and type of the main bolt holding the original Ruger handle in place, and they even provide that wrench. But you are on your own with the front sight. Even for someone mechanical with all the right tools, there is too much guess work, and if you guess wrong you strip the bolt and are not getting the sight off. I would avoid this version of the product for home installation.
