Received with a 22-250 magazine. I was told this was the manufacturer's responsibility to provide a replacement magazine and I have still not received the correct clip. Just disappointed and haven't even shot this rifle yet

Looked at this gun for a while. Was skeptical about buying online, but decided to give it a shot. Buds kept everything so simple. Gun was purchased, paid, shipped, and received in about 10 days. Couldn’t be happier. Gun was in perfect condition and spot on. Great dealings for my first time with online firearm purchasing.

Transaction with Bud's was smooth as usual. Now for the rifle! The trigger on the VentureII is better than previous trigger as it doesn't have any creep, but on my particular rifle it isn't consistent. Trigger pull with two different gauges ranges from 3lbs.2ozs. to 4lbs.6ozs. Feeding rounds from magazine is spotty. Usually have one round out of four where extractor doesn't want to "jump" over the cartridge rim. End up having to pull bolt back and really having to shove bolt forward to properly chamber the round. Bolt is fairly smooth in operation. Now for accuracy. On this particular rifle I haven't found a load that will shoot a three shot group under an inch and a half at a hundred yards. I have another 308 rifle and a 308 pistol with a 14 inch barrel that will put my favorite handloads well under m.o.a. Not particularly happy with this rifle. I like the Weathershield finish and the action to stock fit is good. I have three other first model Venture's that are good shooters in three different calibers. I'll keep working with it and hope that I can find a load that it likes and hope that the feeding problem gets better with use. Have put 60 rounds with different bullets and powders so far thru this rifle. As of now, I wouldn't take this rifle into the field to hunt with.

Amazing fast shipping from Buds. I own two of these rifles now. A 350 Legend and the 308. Both shoot 3/4 inch and under groups at 100 yards. Great triggers. Only complaint is the action/bolt is stiff when closing it. Operates smoothly back n forth but hard to push down and lock. Gets better after firing a 100 rounds. Definitely keeping it lubed with good oil helps. No regrets though. Definitely looking at a 30/06 or a 300 Winchester next.
