Ok I will start with I am not a fan of Mossberg rifles, I love their shotguns. This rifle was bought with the intention of putting it in a Boyd's custom stock, which is what happened on day 1. These rifles chambered in anything larger than 300 Win Mag or 300 PRC are getting very hard to find as the manufacturers are building mostly short action and long action, magnum action is getting hard to find and if you do they are more expensive than I want to pay. This rifle fits the bill for price and shoots less than 1 moa in the new stock, we will see how the rifle holds up for the long term. The 338 Win Mag is not as popular as it once was and the whole world seems to have got recoil shy, but if you are hunting in areas where you can become hunted more gun is always better.

Buds was quick to get this to the ffl, great transaction. Never got comfortable enough with this rifle to trust it in the woods, too loose on paper.
