  Efren, yes sir, this and all models of the Ruger PC carbine are takedown models. Simply push a little button and twist the barrel/handguard off. I own the American flag camo version of this and fantastic rifle. Much better than the keltec sub 2000. The Smith and Wesson M&P fpc and S&W response are both great 9mm carbines but still think I prefer the Ruger. Hope this helps.

  Kurt, this is not MA legal due to pistol grip, telescoping stock, and threaded barrel. You can only have one of these features.   Paul, unfortunately it is not CT compliant. It has a telescoping stock, pistol grip, and threaded barrel, none of which are allowed on a semi-auto with a detachable magazine. • Q: The only difference I can see is that one comes with a 10rd mag and the other comes with a 17rd mag. So why is there a near $75 difference?

  I'd guess different stock in different warehouses. If a certain warehouse is has a low stock in this particular firearm the price goes up. But I own this firearm but the American flag version and quickly became one of my favorite.
