Browning X-Bolt Max Long Range 26" 6.5 PRC Bolt Action Rifle - 26" Barrel, 4+1 Rounds, Synthetic Stock

I must say I am rather taken with this rifle. This stock design is extremely easy to shoot well with, and you feel like you have more control over the recoil. It feeds cartridges flawlessly and smoothly, even short fat rounds like this 6.5 PRC. This is my first rifle in this caliber and it has been absolutely awesome to shoot and hunt with. With handloads using 140 grain Nosler partitions I have shot 6 critters with it and they don’t stand a chance. The recoil is very pleasant to handle and you do NOT need the included muzzle brake. Accuracy far exceeds my expectations. The only modification to the gun I have made is an Mcarbo trigger spring and that helped a bunch. I like this gun so much I have bought 2 more but in different calibers. Bud’s gun shop deserves nothing but praise the purchase was incredibly easy and painless and arrived in short order. A very big thumbs up for the product and the dealer.

Buds did a good job shipping the rifle to the FFL. It arrived about 7 days after ordering. The rifle is amazing after I replaced the factory trigger with a 1lbs JARD Trigger. Shooting 1/4 inch groups at 100 yards with Norma Bass, Fed 210M’s, 53.0 grains of Reloder 22, and 140gr Nosler Ballistic Tips. Shooting 1/2 groups with 140 SST’s and the same combination of brass, powder, ect.

This is one bad ass rifle!! I got it chambered in 6.5 PRC and wow. The gun showed up to my local ffl About 5 days from ordering on a weekend. Love everything about this gun, adjustable stock, adjustable trigger, bedded, free floated, fluted, about everything you would do to a custom gun. Almost forgot about the threaded muzzle brake with cap if you don’t use it. I will tell you first hand I zeroed in 3 shots, went 200,400,600,1000 on my 7th round out of the gun. It lives up to the name Max Long Range, I hit 1200 yards and all the rest of the ranges stated in the first box out of this rifle. The only thing that I can complain about is that it does not come with a 20 MOA rail!! And at the moment a x-bolt short action rail is hard to come by. I’m sure due to the popularity of this rifle. Other than that it’s all good in the hood...One more note to end on, I have been shooting this baby like crazy and 6.5 PRC ammo is kinda hard to find in Utah so think of that before you buy and just so you know if you have read this far you must be serious about this gun. I shoot with guys that have custom built guns and this Browning is shooting right with them and even better sometimes. It’s is a shooter for sure!!!
