The Hi-point .40 carbine is loads of fun! I put a red dot on it and only wish I didn't live in Ca. so I could remove the fin grip. I will once I get out of this Commie state! I love shooting clay pigeons ( on the ground, not out of the air). Buy one, they are great!

I really like it. Easy to take apart, just different. Definitely not like taking an M4 apart. Many people talk smack about HiPoint but this baby will stop in an intruder just as easy as my Remington or HK. Definitely plastic-y but for under $400 a fun extra weapon. The CA fin sucks for obvious reasons, but also when I hold the carbine up to shoot, my thumb perty much naturally rests near or over the ejection port. You have to be cognizant of this on the CA model. Maybe adding a thumb rest on the fin from factory would help. (I'll see if someone can fab a 3d printed version to add).

Shipped quickly, shot great. Awesome little fun rifle. I did not.receive a trigger lock with this product. I could have made a fuss at the ffl but i didn't want to wait even longer. Beyond that, absolutely no issues. Put 300 rounds through it on the first time out with no issue.

I gave this carbine 4 stars . The trigger is actually light, and not bad at all . Excellent quality , and a great price . I would have given it 5 stars but the down side , it is heavy , and the pistol grip is too thick , and I have large hands . I would still recommend this carbine rifle for people on a budget. Hi-Point makes reliable carbines . and pistol's. Buds has very fair prices . Sincerely , Jason Mc
