Is this gun optic ready. Say if I wanted to put a multi redicle red dot or a short distance scope or some like that. Also, what's a good distance to say the power is capable of dropping sometime a deer or a hog. Also, does it take any standard 9mm ammo or is it a specific 9mm long cartridge.

Yeah, you most certainly can add a Red Dot Optic of your choosing.
Now, as far as using 9mm for hunting, that's not going to be something you'd really want to do. There are much better choices for hunting Deer (308, 30-06) Hog (.223, 5.56, 300BLk)
